Luke Sutton (Finance Director)

Having managed Nile for the last few years I have had the privilege of being involved in this project from idea to our first site in Rotherham. I am incredibly proud of what we are doing and know that we are absolutely changing the game when it comes to participation of gymnastics in this country. We have some very talented people working throughout our organisation and the months and years ahead will be hugely exciting.

Nile Wilson (Founder)

Nile Wilson has been a gymnast from the age of 5 years old at Leeds Gymnastics Club. Nile was crowned British Junior Champion in March 2014 and received the Young Sportsman male award at the Leeds Sports Awards. He competed at the 2014 European Championships in Sofia in May, winning five gold medals to become the first British gymnast ever to win five gold medals at the European Junior Gymnastics Championships. He was then selected to compete for the England Commonwealth Games team, graduating to senior level where he won 4 medals, 2 Gold, 1 Silver and a Bronze in the All-Round. In 2015 Nile was part of the team that won GB’s first world team silver medal and was the first British Gymnast to compete in a Parallel Bars final. In 2016 Nile competed in the Rio Olympics where he won a bronze medal in the High Bar final, again a first for GB in gymnastics. In 2017 Nile placed 6th in the All-Round World final and in 2018 he won 5 medals at the Commonwealth Games, 3 Gold and 2 Silver to take his Commonwealth medal total to 9.

Gymnastics Director: As Nile’s father, I have obviously walked almost every step with Nile so far in his career, so gymnastics is in my blood as much as it is his. Indeed, as a whole family we are deeply passionate about participation in gymnastics in this country. I am thrilled at the opportunity to work with everybody at Nile Wilson Gymnastics, we have an incredible team of people behind it and are so excited about the future.
